Given for the first time in the spring of 1998, these annual cash awards now honor two graduating seniors - one $1,000 award at each high school - for their outstanding accomplishments in volunteer activities and community service. The awards are sent directly to each student's post-secondary institution to help with continuing his/her education.
To qualify for this scholarship award, students must submit an application that includes an accounting of their community-service work and an essay explaining how they became involved with their volunteer activities, why they chose to participate in community service organizations and what they gained from their experiences.
This application is available from High School Counselor’s Office.
