The ever-popular children's theater company, Alphabet Soup Productions, now performs for the District 204 community three times each year, with the proceeds going to support Foundation programs.
In 2011-12, Alphabet Soup presented Jack and the Beanstalk at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19,
at the Waubonsie Valley High School auditorium. Also, in its second annual performance at Metea Valley High School's auditorium, Alphabet offered a holiday production of The Santa Claus Caper at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 17.
Alphabet Soup's third production of the 2011-12 school year will be Beauty and the Beast at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Neuqua Valley High School auditorium.
Alphabet Soup Productions just started its 24th season of entertaining children and adults. Among their unique, original versions of fairytales that have been enjoyed by District 204 audiences in recent years are The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood's Big Adventure, Rumpelstiltskin, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and the Pirates and others.
Still offered at the bargain price of $5 per person, general admission tickets can be ordered in advance by completing and mailing the Foundation's ticket-order form.
